Axial Summit PN3B: This was a historical dive for the UW, RSN and the OOI in that all infrastructure installed at the summit of Axial Seamount was connected to Primary Node PN3B. When powered up from the Shore Station in Pacific City, Oregon, all junction boxes and instruments will have powere and two-way communication to shore.  Connections started with the RS03W9 cable from Central Caldera to Science Port (SP) 1, followed by the RS03W7 cable from Ashes to SP2. Two extension cables running to the International District hydrothermal fields were then connected.  The cable RS03W6 was connected to SP3, and cable RS03W8  to SP4. The cable RS03W10 from Eastern Caldera was connected to SP5. Finally the cable  RS03W5 fromthe high definition camera in the  ASHES hydrothermal field was connected to port SP6HB. The port SP7HB does not host a cable. Video credit: NSF-OOI/UW/CSSF; Dive R1741; V14
