Broadband Hydrophone V14

The high-frequency broadband hydrophone may be used to hear noises from oceanic creatures as well as human sources.

During VISIONS 14, broadband hydrophones are scheduled for installation at the Endurance offshore benthic package (LJ01C) and nearshore benthic package (LJ01D), as well as at Axial Base at the mooring (LJ03A) and on the 200m platform (PC03A). Broadband hydrophone installation is also anticipated at Slope Base (LJ01A) and at the 200m Slope Base Platform (PC01A).
