The high-frequency broadband hydrophone may be used to hear noises from oceanic creatures as well as human sources.
During VISIONS 14, broadband hydrophones were installed at the Endurance offshore benthic package (LJ01C), nearshore benthic package (LJ01D), at Axial Base at the mooring (LJ03A), on the 200m platform (PC03A), Slope Base (LJ01A), and at the 200m Slope Base Platform (PC01A).
