Claire Knox

I am a sophomore at the University of Washington majoring in oceanography. I grew up on Bainbridge Island, WA, which cultivated my appreciation of the ocean. I am excited to participate in the VISIONS ’13 Cruise and immerse myself in the groundbreaking science being performed. I am eager to learn more about the unique chemical processes found exclusively at deep-sea and tectonic boundaries. Outside of school, I am a cooking enthusiast, coxswain for a local rowing team, knitter, and competitive swimmer. This is my first at-sea research experience.
