Lauren Kowalski

I am going to be a sophomore at the University of Washington, majoring in Oceanography. Ever since 2nd grade I knew I wanted to study the ocean, and this cruise is giving me an amazing opportunity to do so. I am still unsure of what path of oceanography I will choose, but I am eager to learn anything and everything. This will be my first at sea research experience and with that I am very excited to be on the methane hydrate leg of the cruise and learn about their exclusive processes.
