Mooring Float Package

The Float Instrument Package includes nine sensors mounted on a Float Package below the euphotic zone (see figure above). One of these packages will be on each of the two RSN moorings. The nine instruments are required for measurement of physical oceanographic, chemical and biological processes in the upper water column. Mounted on the platform, these sensors provide co-registered measurements at high temporal resolution, making optimum use of the power and bandwidth supplied by the RSN cabled network.
