Rachel Scott

Rachel Scott will be a 5th year senior in the Fall of 2019. She is pursuing a degree in the School of Oceanography with a focus in Marine Technology as well as in the Department of Marine Biology with a focus in Intertidal Ecology. Rachel was formerly a youth in Washington state’s foster care system from the ages of 12 to 21, preserving through adversities to maintain motivation in pursuit of her post-secondary education. Personal hobbies include scuba diving, hiking, and spending time with her dog Blu. Rachel hopes to eventually obtain her masters and doctoral degree in oceanography, and to one day lead a cruise of her own.
