Sam Albertson

I am a sophomore studying engineering at the University of Washington. After growing up in Woodinville, Washington, my interests have extended beyond engineering into physics, astronomy, math, computer science, oceanography, scuba diving, neuroscience, urban planning, and writing terrible, terrible short fiction. For the last year, I have worked with our school's Human-Powered Submarine team to prepare for competition in the upcoming International Submarine Races. I am very excited to be a part of the cruise this year, as well as to work with the ROV ROPOS and to participate in other ocean science missions onboard.
