Welcome to the VISIONS '17 Daily Log. Follow our expedition onboard the R/V Roger Revelle, July 25-August 29. The goal of this cruise is to complete the third year of the Operations and Maintenance component of the National Science Foundations' Ocean Observatories Initiative Regional Cable Array, which includes recovering and installing >100 cabled instruments on the seafloor and in the water column from depths of 10,000 ft beneath the oceans' surface. Here, daily updates will be provided, as well as a look-ahead at follow-on operations.
