Judy Twedt

Judy Twedt

Judy Twedt will be a first-year graduate student in the Department of
Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Washington this fall, and is
fascinated by atmosphere-ocean interactions and large-scale climate
dynamics. Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, she also spent five years
in Colorado studying philosophy at the Colorado College and two years as a
literacy instructor in Washington, DC. She returned to Seattle four years
ago to change careers and become an environmental scientist. Over the past
three summers she has worked at the City of Tacoma Environmental Services
Lab, the PNNL Marine Science Laboratory in Sequim Washington, and at NOAA's
Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory in Princeton, New Jersey.
