Learning ocean science and technology through full immersion in a research expedition.

During the 7 legs of the VISIONS '14 expedition, ~45 undergraduates and graduate students will work along side scientists, engineers, and the ROPOS team. In addition to writing blogs and working on individual projects, they each take on the valuable role as data logger, standing 4-hour watches with colleagues in the ROPOS Control Room. Students participate in daily science meetings, and learn about all aspects of sea-going oceanography.
