Dive R1793 Highlights Oregon Offshore

ROPOS Dive 1793 was at the Oregon Offshore (600 m) Site: This Dive prepared the Deep Profiler mooring for future recovery. A beacon was placed on the top float, and ROPOS started to follow the line down, but strong currents made that difficult. ROPOS had to descend away from the mooring line. At the seafloor, the profiler was observed sitting at the docking station. ROPOS disconnected cable OSHYW1 from the dock (PD01B), capped both ends of the cable with protective caps, peeled back the cable from anchor, and retrieved the beacon from the top float.
